Magic Will Prevail in Finals

Listening to the posterior smooching media when they swoon about the Lakers and their 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals, you tend to think Jabaar, Magic, Worthy and Cooper were still playing. The Kool-aid drinking journalists (I use that term lightly) are remindful of the media drones that cover Obama on a daily basis. Hey, put some thought into your analysis once and awhile. The sports media, in general, subscribe to a herd mentality.  These are the same guys that said the Giants could never beat the Pats in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. How about some original thought drones?

Fact is, the Lakers still have two more games to win and they'll have to win at least one in Orlando.  Moreover, the Laker homecourt advantage is not so much.  The front-running crowd there makes only a fraction of the noise the Magic had to endure in Philly, Boston and Cleveland and, despite the fierce cheering from the likes of Jack Nicholson and Denzel Washington, there really is not much intimidation. Memo to Jack, please don't complain about anymore calls, we really don't want to see that gut again.

Enough about the celebs, back to hoops.

Van Gundy has already started to figure out the Laker schemes and once the Magic guards hit a few threes, the middle will open up for Dwight Howard.  In addition, the depth of the Magic bench will begin to surface more on Orlando's home court. Gortat, Pietrus and Reddick will make a huge difference in the O-Rena games.

If we can keep the Skittles, Twizzlers and Mars Bars away from sugar-loving Lamar Odom, count on a Magic NBA championship.

Get ready for a 7 game series.
